Chilling warning Isis is plotting ‘a big explosion’ on scale of 9/11 atrocities

Islamic State and other terrorist groups are planning to target more aircraft in a devastating plot to carry out another major attack on the scale of 9/11, a senior security official has warned.

Elaine Duke, acting US Homeland Security Secretary, said: ‘The terrorist organisations, be it Isis or others, want to have the big explosion like they did on 9/11. They want to take down aircraft, the intelligence is clear on that.’
Jihadists are apparently using crude knifes and van attacks as they plan to take down planes in future atrocities.

Speaking at the US embassy in London, Mrs Duke stressed how ISIS intends to keep its ‘finances flowing’ and ‘members engaged’ with the disturbing plots.

The US has reportedly taken ‘extreme measures’ in a bid to prevent a major terror attack, such as the 9/11 atrocities in which 2,996 people died.

Suicide attackers hijacked planes and flew them into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington on September 11, 2001.
