Riot in Kogi Poly as Dangote truck kills one student, two others










Hell was let loose today as Dangote truck with failed break ran into bystanders, killing one student of the institution and three others.

This led to chaos among the students who went on rampage barricading the ever busy Abuja/Okene road.
The rampaging students took over the road burning the vehicle and barricading the road.

The traffic light at the junction was destroyed by the angry youths.

The students said that the school authority should have suspended the ongoing examination in honour of the slain female student.

Eye witness account told our DailyPost that the break of the Dangote truck heading northwards failed right in front of the state owned institution and headed towards bystanders, killing one student.

Our source also disclosed that two Keke were also ran over, but could not confirm if their occupants were killed.

Some of the injured victims according to our source have been taken to the State Special Hospital Lokoja and the Federal Medical Centre.

The timely intervention of the Police  saved what otherwise could have become a disaster Another battalion of combination of Nigerian police,  Special Anti robbery Squad, and vigilante  are heading towards the accident scene as at the time filling this report.

When Contacted, the sector commander Kogi state Federal Road Safety confirmed that the accident occurred due to break failure leading the truck to ram into the crowd killing one student and two others.

According to him, the reactions and the attendant chaos has forced him to withdraw his men to allow the restoration of law and other before they can do a proper assessment.
