Lightweight Google Maps App Now Available For Download On Google Play Store -





In a bid to support low end smartphones and also countries with slow internet speed, Google decided to launch a lighter version of its latest android OS and it's called Android Oreo Go Edition. Aside releasing a lighter OS, Google also released a lightweight version of many of its apps, including Gmail, Assistant, Files Go, and Maps.

Before now, Files Go file manager was the only one of the Android Go Apps that was available as a separate download via Google Play Store. Now Google map Go which is a lighter version of Google Map is now available for download on Google Play Store and it's fully compatible with android devices running on android 4.2.1 and above.

The Google Map Go is specifically designed to run smoothly on devices with limited memory and unreliable networks without compromising speed to offer their location, real-time traffic updates, directions and other information. Google Maps Go is available in more than 70 languages and features in-depth, accurate maps in 200 countries and territories, as well as detailed business info for more than 100 million places.
