Number Of Dead Men Appointed By Buhari Increases To 5

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has discovered two more additional dead men Mr. President appointed to the board of Federal Parastatals. This is indeed a disgrace to Nigeria and a shame to its citizens.

Mr. Kayode (SAN) drew the attention of the media to the 2 more dead men he discovered via his official Twitter account stating that Nigeria has now become a laughing stock and butt of cruel jokes in the International Community.

FFK tweeted this;

Garba Attahiru and Umar Dange are the latest additions to the list of dead men that Buhari has appointed to the boards of Federal Parastatals. This takes the number from 3 to 5. Nigeria has now become the laughing stock and the butt cruel jokes in the international community.

It is called corpsocracy; the rulership of the living by the dead. And President "walking dead" Buhari is its Chief Priest and primary advocate and promoter.

Lagosians beware! Aviation fuel on sale as petrol, kerosene

Ajao estate in Lagos can be described as one of the highbrow areas on the mainland, owing to its strategic location and nearness to the International airport. The relax ambience of most hotels in the area as well as the gigantic buildings is also another feature that gives the area its popularity among other areas around Isolo and its environs.

However, the area can be said to be sitting on a keg of gun powder ready to explode, except necessary actions are taken. This is owing to activities of pipeline vandals at Richfield community in the estate, where pipeline which supplies Jet A1 aviation fuel to the international and local airports pass through. By the way, Jet fuel is a type of aviation fuel designed for use in aircraft and it is powered by gas-turbine engines. It is colorless to straw-colored in appearance. Jet A1 fuel which is produced to a standardized international specification, is the most commonly used for commercial aviation. However, investigation by Vanguard revealed that the siphoned product was then sold to unsuspecting Lagosians as fuel for their vehicles and kerosine for stoves.

It is difficult to differentiate the product from premium motor spirit, otherwise known as petrol used for car because of its colourless appearance. Activities of these vandals increased this yuletide season following the perennial fuel scarcity . Vanguard gathered that during this period, trucks were usually brought into the community at night, where it was loaded inside jerricans, for onward sale within and outside the area, including the south west region of the country. Police swoop on the vandals Acting on a tip off, teams of policemen led by the Area Commander ‘D’ Mushin, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Olasoji, accompanied by the Divisional Police Officer in-charge of Ajao estate division, Mr Abdul Adejoh and the Area ‘D ‘command’s Duty Officer, Superintendent of Police, SP, Timothy Falowo, a swooped on the vandals while they were siphoning the product from a broken pipe.

On sighting the policemen, they took to their heels abandoning some jerricans filled with the siphoned product. They also left the leaking portion of the pipe open in their confused state.

67-year-old American Posing As ‘nigerian Prince’ Arrested For Fraud

A 67-year-old American advance fee fraudster Michael Neu posing as a Nigerian prince has been arrested by the police in Louisiana.

He was said to have duped hundreds of people across America using emails and face 269 counts of wire fraud and money laundering following an 18-month investigation, police said in a facebook post.

Police in Slidell, Louisiana, say they finally caught up with one of the people behind some of those emails. He’s not exactly Nigerian royalty, either, police wrote in a Facebook post.

According to The Sacramento Bee anyone with an email address has likely gotten a message from the so-called Nigerian prince or two offering hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars in secret inheritances or, in some cases, payment for assistance laundering ill-gotten gains from mining conglomerates or royal treasuries.

In these scams, the supposed Nigerian prince (or other official) asks for the person’s personal banking information in order to speed the transfer of the purported inheritance or temporarily hold the allegedly pilfered funds. The information can then be used to withdraw funds from the victim’s accounts.

While Neu might lack a royal title, at least some of the money obtained in his scams did go to co-conspirators in Nigeria, police wrote. Investigators are continuing to untangle Neu’s web of scams, but many other leads also connect to people outside the U.S., the post says.

Police noted that while these kinds of emails are laughable to many people, authorities report millions of dollars in losses to such scams each year.

“If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” said Police Chief Randy Fandal in the Facebook post. “Never give out personal information over the phone, through e-mail, cash checks for other individuals, or wire large amounts of money to someone you don’t know. 99.9 percent of the time, it’s a scam.”

Law enforcement agencies across the nation also are warning people of calls from scammers purporting to be police or court officials demanding payment via phone of bogus fines or warrants. Another version involves scammers claiming to be jailed relatives pleading for bail money, often targeting older people.

Okorocha bows to pressure: Restores Assumpta Avenue Name

Imo State Government has bowed to the superior force of the Catholic Church and restored Assumpta Avenue street name.

The government action came barely a few hours after Vanguard hit the news stand with growing tension generated by what some respondents called “the unwholesome renaming of Assumpta Avenue”.

Confirming the restoration of the street name, the Commissioner for Information, Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri, said that it was never government’s intention to rename the said strategic road, which he claimed spans from Assumpta Cathedral and terminates at Warehouse Roundabout.

“Assumpta Avenue is symbolic for both religious and historic reasons in Imo State, and these facts are not lost on the government and people of Imo State.

All inconveniences occasioned by the initial oversight or error of wrongly installing a Street sign, suggesting a renaming of the street is highly regretted”, Obiaraeri said.

In his own reaction, the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, Dr. Anthony J. V. Obinna, said that there was no need to celebrate the restoration of the street name by Governor Rochas Okorocha.

“Catholics were already putting heads together to face the unwarranted and most uncharitable frontal attack on the Church, when he retraced his locus. His misdeed had already reached the ends of the earth before he did the needful”, Archbishop Obinna said.

Answering a question, the cleric wondered why Okorocha wants to destroy everything that predated his administration, including Assumpta Avenue.

In his own reaction, an Owerri based legal practitioner, Mr. Chikaodi Igbokwe, reasoned that “if a rabbit enters a hole with speed and jams a snake in that hole, it will reverse with a turbo speed”.

While saying that any leader who plays God will certainly commit deadly blunders, Mr. Igbokwe also opined that “this mistake exceeds the allegation of slapping a Revered Father”.

“After that rumour gained ground, nothing could save that government. As I said earlier, time will tell”, Igbokwe said.

Reacting also, a Catholic Knight, Sir McDonald Ebere said: ” Rochas
Okorocha has finally bowed to the power of Catholics. This is the beginning of the end and there shall be no end until the beginning ends”.

Meanwhile, Catholic laity have declared three days of fasting and prayers in Imo State.

According to an online directive, Catholics and their well wishers were asked to do this “for God to manifest His power in Imo State, and deliver His children from the evil leadership of Governor Rochas Okorocha”.

Catholics were asked to begin the fasting and prayer from December 29-31, starting from 6am-12noon, while recitation of the Rosary starts 12noon.

“Strict adherence to this call will go a long way to salvage Imo State.

Our Lady will surely crush the ugly serpent that is raising its head in Imo State now. Catholics stand up to your faith and win this spiritual battle. God is with us. We shall live to see the end of this evil. The heavenly beings are greater than all the principalities here on earth. We will surely overcome”, the directive added.

Illegal Fuel Subsidy Payment: Opposition Youths Tackle Buhari

Youths of opposition Peoples Democratic Party have called on the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against President Muhammadu Buhari for illegally authorising funds for subsidy payment without recourse to the 2017 Appropriation Act and the National Assembly.

The youths under the aegis of Peoples Democratic Party National Youth League (PDPNYL) in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Inioribo Tamunotonye and Publicity Secretary Zainab Al’Amin, frowned that President Buhari has practically taken Nigeria as his personal estate where he does things according to his whims without recourse to appropriate institutions.

The statement reads;

“The attention of Peoples Democratic Party National Youth League has been drawn to a statement credited to the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Dr Maikanti Baru where he was quoted to have said that President Muhammadu Buhari authorised the NNPC to pay TWENTY-SIX NAIRA (N26) to petrol marketers for every litre as subsidy payment without recourse to the National Assembly that is statutorily empowered to determine such and the 2017 Appropriation Act.

We find the action of the President as strange, illegal and fraudulent considering that it was the same man who only in 2016 ended the fuel subsidy regime and went further to ensure that it was not considered in the 2017 Appropriation bill that he presented before the National Assembly. It is shocking that the President neither presented the proposal for the subsidy payment before the National Assembly, National Economic Council nor the Federal Executive Council for consideration before giving approval to the GMD like he owns the resources of Nigeria.

We make no mistake to state that the singular reason the subsidy was illegally brought through the backdoor and shrouded in secrecy by the President and his cohorts is to allow for perpetuation of fraud and to steal our common wealth without detection from any quarter.

We urge members of the National Assembly to not just focus attention on quizzing the NNPC GMD who is just a front for the President, but to put aside party consideration and summon the courage to commence impeachment proceedings against Muhammadu Buhari for gross misconduct and his subsequent prosecution for fraud.

Nigeria is not the personal estate of the President, he has broken the law and must be made to face the consequences”.

Doctors To Now Treat Gunshot Wounds Without Police Report

DOCTORS across the country can now treat gun shot wounds without first requesting for a police report before commencing treatment on any victim.

This was made known by Senator Ita Enang, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate).

He made this known to State House correspondents in Abuja on Friday while stating that President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshot Act, 2017 into law alongside other five bills.

The five other bills are the Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment) Amendment Act, 2017; the Anti-Torture Act 2017; the Federal Capital Appropriation Act; the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (Establishment) Act 2017; and the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (Establishment) Act 2017.

Enang stated that the Gunshot Act specifically stipulates that a person with gunshot shall be received for immediate and adequate treatment by any hospital in Nigeria with or without initial monetary deposit.

A person with gunshot wound shall not be subjected to inhuman and degrading treatment or torture by any person or authority, including the police and other security agencies,” he explained.

On Niger Delta Development Commission (Establishment) Amendment Act, 2017, Enang said the NDDC Act also included the gas producing and gas processing companies in the list of agencies that were contributing to the Niger Delta Development Commission, in addition to oil companies to increase funding of the commission for effective discharge of its duties.

He added that “previously, the NDDC Act excluded gas companies. The Act makes it explicit that gas companies have to be included.

“This is to diversify sources of funding for the NDDC for the economic wellbeing of the region.’’

On the Anti-Torture Act, he said it makes comprehensive provisions for penalising acts of torture and other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment or punishment, and prescribes penalties for the commission of such acts.

On the Federal Capital Appropriation Act, the president’s aide explained that the Act authourised the Federal Capital Territory Administration to legally and legitimately provide funds out of its Statutory Revenue Fund for recurrent and capital expenditure.

On the Federal Capital Territory Water Board Establishment Act, he noted that the act was charged with the responsibility of providing safe, adequate and affordable water to
FCT residents.

The National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (Establishment) Act, 2017, he said is to provide national direction in cancer research, control and treatment; guide scientific improvements to cancer prevention, treatment and care, coordinate and liaise between the wide range of groups and health care providers with an interest in cancer.

“The six Acts have come into effect as laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.’’

China To Ban Production Of 553 Car Models From Jan.1 To Fight Air Pollution

In another push to reduce city's harming emissions and its notorious smog ,China will effectively ban the local production of a total of 553 passenger car models starting from January 1. The announcement was made by the China Vehicle Technology Service Center, and affects vehicles that don't meet the country's fuel consumption and emissions requirements.

The full list of banned cars is unknown, but it includes models from Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, and many more. Vehicles with internal codes FV7145LCDBG (Audi), BJ7302ETAL2 (Mercedes) and SGM7161DAA2 (Chevrolet), all of which are sedans, are affected by the sanction.

While 553 vehicles sounds like a lot, the secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association told the publication it's actually a very small percentage of passenger cars that are produced in China.

China is still finalizing its timetable to stop production and sales of internal combustion vehicles. The country’s government wants to switch entirely to what it calls new energy vehicles which includes hybrids, plug-in hybrids, electric Vehicles and fuel-cell models, and plans them to account for about 40 percent of all sales there by 2030.

China has tackled its chronic pollution problem by limiting steel production, restricting coal usage, and its multi year plan to phase out vehicles powered by petrol and diesel. But this is its first official ban of a specific list of polluting vehicles.

President Buhari Angry About His Son's Accident, Blames Security Aides

President Muhammadu Buhari was very unpleased with his security aides over his son, Yusuf's accident with a power bike.

Yusuf was drag racing with a friend on Tuesday night around 8 pm when he crashed his power bike, sustaining head injuries and breaking a limb in the process.

According to ThisDay: "The president was at the hospital on Wednesday night. He was very devastated when he saw his son, Yusuf, in a very critical situation. He was shaking his head, while looking at his son and thereafter angrily reprimanded his security officials for allowing Yusuf to leave home at that time of the day for power-bike racing.

From the way the president spoke, it appears the security aides are in trouble. He spoke angrily. The Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd); his FCT ministry counterpart, Alhaji Mohammed Bello; and the Senate President’s wife, Mrs. Toyin Saraki; stayed throughout the night of Tuesday till Wednesday at the hospital with Hajia Aisha Buhari.

While the doctors were working to stabilise him, Dambazau kept appealing to the doctors to do everything possible to stabilise Yusuf, saying the president would find it very difficult to bear the pain if anything happens to his son."

Apple apologises for slowing older iPhones down

Apple has apologised after facing criticism for admitting it deliberately slows down some ageing iPhone models.

The company now says it will replace batteries for less and will issue software in 2018 so customers can monitor their phone's battery health.

Some customers had long suspected the company slowed older iPhones to encourage customers to upgrade.

Apple admitted slowing some phones with ageing batteries but said it was to "prolong the life" of the devices.

In a statement posted on its website, the firm said it would reduce the price of an out-of-warranty battery replacement from $79 (£58) to $29 (£21) for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later.

Is Apple getting sloppy? The biggest tech stories of 2017Apple's secret tax bolthole revealed

It said it was pushing ahead with measures to "address customers' concerns, to recognise their loyalty and to regain the trust of anyone who may have doubted Apple's intentions".

"At Apple, our customers' trust means everything to us. We will never stop working to earn and maintain it. We are able to do the work we love only because of your faith and support - and we will never forget that or take it for granted," it said.

The firm has had eight separate lawsuits in the US filed against it over the matter, and had also been facing additional legal action in Israel and France.

Apple acknowledged earlier this month that it does deliberately slow down some models of the iPhone as they age.

It said it had made changes to the iOS operating system to manage ageing lithium-ion batteries in some devices, because the batteries' performance diminishes over time.

"Lithium-ion batteries become less capable of supplying peak current demands when in cold conditions, [when they] have a low battery charge or as they age over time, which can result in the device unexpectedly shutting down to protect its electronic components," the company said.

It also emerged on Thursday that the tech giant's chief executive Tim Cook had been ordered by the firm to only use private jets for both business and personal transport for security reasons.

In November, Apple was forced to release an update to fix a security issue with its Mac operating system that made it possible to gain entry to a device and administrative powers without a password.

2019 Presidency: South West PDP Group Endorses Gov. Dankwambo

A group drawn from the South West, Yoruba Solidarity Alliance, YSA, has picked the governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo to battle president Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

The group in a statement signed by its coordinator, Adeniyi Femi, said Dankwambo is the most marketable presidential material for the PDP.

According to them, the 55-year-old governor is the only one who can represent the interest of the youth and defeat President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The group said Nigerians have since lost faith in the APC-led Federal Government.

The group said, “Nigerians have evidently become disillusioned as a result of countless broken promises of the APC.

“Only a man of known performance and integrity like Ibrahim Dankwambo can readily appeal to the electorate during the 2019 presidential election.

“Now that the ruling party has demonstrated its inability to offer better governance, PDP cannot afford to seek the trust of Nigerians once again with any serial presidential candidate that is bogged down with moral burden and encumbrance of corruption.

“It is amply evident that the long suffering Nigerians have had enough of gerontocracy while majority of them are prepared to do away with this unworkable idea in 2019.

“What the nation needs at this time of untold economic hardship and insecurity is a much younger president who is fresh with new ideas and innovative concepts and Dankwambo is the only way out in 2019 especially with his proven achievements.”

Tension in Owerri over renaming of Maria Assumpta Avenue as Buhari Road

OWERRI—Uneasy calm has enveloped Owerri, following the renaming of Assumpta Avenue by Governor Rochas Okorocha, to Muhammadu Buhari Road
The Road which was named after the magnificent Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri, several decades ago, had remained so until it was renamed by Okorocha. Vanguard recalls that Assumpta Avenue, with the Zip Code 460211, stretched from the old Library Roundabout, Okigwe/Wetheral Roads, to Assumpta Cathedral, Control Post. It would be recalled also that following the establishment of banks along the Assumpta Avenue, some residents, including commercial motorcyclists, started calling part of the Avenue, Bank Road. A staff of one of the banks, who spoke to Vanguard on strict grounds of anonymity, said that most of the banks bear Assumpta Avenue as their official address. He stressed that “it is this Avenue that Governor Rochas Okorocha has sadly changed to Muhammadu Buhari Road”. Another resident of Owerri, Bro Ikay, equally lamented that Okorocha has changed the names of other major roads in Owerri. “Wetheral Road is now Sam Mbakwe Road, while Okigwe Road has been renamed Nnamdi Azikiwe Road”, Bro Ikay said. Continuing, Bro Ikay recalled that Okorocha had earlier renamed Douglas Road after the 10-year old boy, Somtochukwu Ibeanusi, who was shot dead, during the destruction of Ekeukwu Owerri market. Reacting also online, Agunwa Emeka Nzeribe, who claimed to be a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, and a Catholic faithful from Oguta, said that the action of Okorocha in renaming the Assumpta Avenue is unacceptable, but quickly added that “we must treat it with caution”. He wondered why Governor Okorocha should not have opened an entirely new road and name it after the President, like the former Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim did on Musa Yar’Adua Road.

“He is no longer loved by Imo people and he is playing to the gallery to ensure that he wins the favour of the Presidency to enable him install a preferred candidate as his successor. We should ask ourselves what made him stop the unveiling of the remaining statues moulded in New Owerri,” Nzeribe said. Continuing, this Catholic faithful recalled that everybody in Imo State knows this road as Assumpta Avenue, until recently when banks took over both sides of the road, from Douglas Road Junction, which became known as Bank Road. “As his days are numbered, I implore all Imolites to tarry awhile in order not to jeopardize chances of desired change Imo people are yearning for in 2019”, Nzeribe pleaded.

Okorocha: If They Call Me 'Okoroawusa', I Don't Care

The Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has finally reacted to the name, Okoroawusa, which people fondly call him.

Speaking with Vanguard, Gov Okorocha said he always enjoys it when people call him Okoroawusa, because it only makes him laugh.

He said; "I think I am one of the most misunderstood Nigerians nowadays. It makes me laugh. I enjoy it, you know why? People do not face the real issues.

"You know too well where I come from. I am from this state. But I was brought up in the North. The North gave me childhood, gave me education. I was born here. My parents were Igbo. They went to the North in search of greener pasture. I was brought up there. But when I went into business it was my contact with the West that made me what I am in business.

"I claim, and I know, that I am a successful businessman. I cannot afford to hate the North or hate my people. Whatever they want to call me – Okoroawusa, Okoroyoruba or Okoroigbo – I don’t care because it does not affect my identity. Out of the 15,000 children I have, about 7,000 of them are Muslims.

"These are my children. They have become members of my family. I can’t love them and reject their religions. These are statements from my political opponents who want to portray me differently to make me look like a jester or a joker.

It’s A Shame Nigerians Are Celebrating Christmas In Discomfort – Osinbajo

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has admitted that it is a shame Christmas celebration in Nigeria has so far been characterised by discomfort caused by the lingering fuel scarcity.

His Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, in a statement on Monday morning quoted the Vice President as speaking during the interactions he had with some people keeping vigil at two filling stations in Lagos.

Osinbajo was said to have made surprise appearances at Oando Filling Station in Lekki and Hayden Petrol Station, Victoria Island.

“It’s such a shame that Christmas has been, to some extent, with this sort of discomfort.

“This is deeply regretted, and l know that, despite the resilience and strength of people in Lagos and the Nigerian people, we would see ourselves through this and will enjoy our Christmas and have a great new year,” he was quoted as telling those who were on queue to buy the scarce commodity.

He said the Federal Government was moving as quickly as it could to solve the fuel crisis and reduce the difficulties Nigerians were facing as a result.

He added, “We are trying to move as quickly as we can. Obviously, people have gone through a lot of pain and anguish in the past few days, and that is deeply regretted.

“We are trying to do what we can to move as quickly as possible and there is certainly enough products to be able to solve the problem.

“We will be able to solve the problem; the short period of scarcity is quite a bit of burden, but we know that so long as products are enough and the trucks coming out and feeding the stations, this will be over very soon.

“I am going around with the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources here in Lagos to ensure that first, the trucks are being loaded from all the depots, and also looking at the filling stations to see that things are moving on very well.

“The GMD of the NNPC is also working in Abuja to see that things are moving quickly and we are moving around the country. So we expect that it will be resolved very quickly.”

Osinbajo later took to his social media accounts to announce that he witnessed firsthand the discomfort Nigerians have been experiencing during his visits to the filling stations.

He assured Nigerians that the government is working hard to end their pains as soon as possible.

He added that President Muhammadu Buhari had mandated all those concerns to bring an end to the situation.

Osinbajo wrote, “Christmas is a time of cheer, joy, and hope for the coming New Year. Many people would love to be around their families, but regrettably, cannot because of the inadequacies in the fuel supply in different parts of the nation.

“This is something that President Buhari is deeply concerned about, mandating all relevant persons to bring an end to the fuel queues.

“I witnessed first-hand the discomfort that many of us have to contend with. We sympathise with you and we are working assiduously to eliminate this pain in the shortest possible time.

“We regret this inconvenience while assuring you that all hands are on deck to return things to normalcy.

Why I Withdrew My Suit Against EFCC — Innoson CEO Innocent Chukwuma

The CEO of Innoson Group said in a statement Monday that he withdrew his fundamental rights enforcement lawsuit against the anti-graft EFCC after he learnt that the GTBank had allegedly compromised the process.

Innocent Chukwuma, against whom the EFCC slammed a four-count of fraud last month, said an ex-parte application he filed before a Lagos court was summarily taken over by GTBank before it was determined.
“GTBank became aware of the pendency of the suit, got all the copies of the processed filed in the suit, then filed a counter affidavit and on December 21 and got it assigned to a complaint judge,” according to the statement signed by Cornel Osigwe, corporate communications lead at Innoson.
Mr. Chukwuma filed the ex-parte motion on December 20 to compel the EFCC to respect his fundamental rights, a day after he was arrested by anti-graft operatives at his residence in Enugu.

He said even though GTBank was not joined in the suit, the bank allegedly sent its legal representatives to pry on the court process filed by Mr. Chukwuma’s lawyers.

Mr. Osigwe said the attention of the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court had been drawn to the matter for a thorough investigation.

A spokesperson for GTBank could not be reached for comments Monday morning.
On November 30, the EFCC slammed fraud charges on Mr. Chukwuma, the industrialist owner of the indigenous auto manufacturer, Innoson Motors.

The allegations border on attempted fraud, stealing, and forgery of shipping and financial documents.

His arrest followed his failure to honour an invitation from the EFCC, the agency said.
Mr. Chukwuma, however, denied receiving any invitation for questioning. He challenged the EFCC to produce evidence of any invitation sent to him before the public.
The industrialist was released in the evening of December 20, but his trial is expected to commence soon, although no date has been fixed yet.

NUPENG Confirms Massive Loading Of Petrol At Depots

Mr Tayo Aboyeji, the South-West Chairman of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), on Monday confirmed that massive loading of petrol was ongoing at different depots in Lagos.

Aboyeji made the confirmation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, assuring Nigerians that the current scarcity of fuel would end in the next two days.

According to the chairman: “I am glad to tell you that the product is now available and today, being Christmas holiday, tanker drivers are waiting to collect the product.

“Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is now making use of Major Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) tank farms to distribute petrol.

“This is to accelerate the product to different locations. As I am talking to you, our members are taking the product out of depots to filling stations across the country.

“To make it quicker, NNPC is also using Folawiyo depot, Aiteo and NIPCO depots and I can tell you that the rate at which loading is taking place now, the crisis will soon be over,” he said.

Atoyebi denied allegation of diversion of the product by his members, adding that such had not been reported to him.

“To the best of my knowledge no such cases have been reported to the union.

“It is not easy to divert the product because petroleum tankers loaded were being monitored to their destinations,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to desist from panic buying, adding that the product was now available.

“Nigerians should not result to panic buying now; petrol is available in depots unlike few days ago when the product was not available.

“The product will be in all filling stations in few day’s time, so buy only what you will use and stop hiding petrol in your house, it is dangerous,” he said.

Galatasaray To Employ Emmanuel Eboue As Assistant Coach After Suicide Thoughts

The former Arsenal defender revealed in an interview with the Mirror on Sunday that he has been pushed to the brink of suicide after losing everything and now spends his days hiding from bailiffs.

In addition to this, Eboue sometimes sleeps on the floor of a friend's home and even cleans his clothes by hand because he has no washing machine.

According to Turkish Football, the club is ready to provide a salary that reflects his previous services to the club and find accommodation.
However, Galatasaray manager, Faith Terim in an interview with CNN said, "We heard news about Eboue in the dressing room, I was informed there, we will do whatever we can to help my friend."

Eboue, now 34, spoke of his appreciation for his former manager in Istanbul.

"I would be very happy if Fatih Hodja gave me the duty in Galatasaray, and Fatih Terim is my father, I love him very much, I do everything for him because I love him very much." said Eboue.

Galatasaray have gone on to launch a campaign helping former players with troubles, with club legends Hasan ÅžaÅŸ and Necati AteÅŸ sharing messages of support for the Ivorian, who now plays for Turkish/Cypriot side Turk Ocagi Limasol.

Primate Elijah Ayodele's 2018 Prophecies: What Atiku Must Do Ahead Of 2019

Primate Ayodele releases 2018 prophecies, reveals what Atiku must do ahead of 2019

Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to consult God before running for president in 2019.

The Primate warned that if the Waziri of Adamawa fails to consult God, he “may not get it right.”

The warning was contained in Ayodele’s 2018 prophecies, where he called on Nigerians to be prayerful.

He also predicted that President Muhammadu Buhari’s aides will create problems for him.

Ayodele said Buhari will have to do a lot of alliance to boost his political chances.

In a statement he issued, the cleric listed five politicians who are likely to be future president of Nigeria.

He identified Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

The clergyman also said Nigerians should pray against scarcity of food commodity in the country.

The prophecies read: “Bread will be scarce in the country, even garri. Some markets will be shut down, and let’s pray against explosion in some markets.

“We should also pray so that we don’t lose any Iyaloja or Babaloja.

“Iyaloja General should pray against multiple troubles, she should also be watchful of scandals.

“For the presidential election, this is what you should be expecting: Buhari will do a lot of alliance, he will try to settle so many things and try to balance right and left. But Buhari’s aides will create problems for him.

“The only people who can hold Buhari’s government are Fashola and Amaechi.

“2019: Atiku wants to be president; it’s going to be serious. Only if Atiku consults God very well before he takes the right step, otherwise, Atiku may not get it right.

“The presidential candidate of the PDP will be imposed, he will not be democratically elected after their presidential primaries.

“These are the future presidents after 2019, if they are still alive; Tambuwal, Saraki, Fashola, Amaechi, watch these people. Watch Ibikunle Amosun, these are future presidents of Nigeria.

“It is not PDP or APC that can put things

in order. Those two parties have nothing to offer Nigeria. The House will break because of Buhari 2019.”

Police dismiss Sergeant accused of Culpable homicide in Kogi

A Police officer Sgt Akpa James allegedly accused of killing one Ohimi Ojima in Ajaokuta Local Government Kogi State has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force.

Sgt James before his dismissal was formerly attached to the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Zone 8, Lokoja.

According to a statement signed by the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)  ASP William Aya, on Saturday, it was alleged that the deceased Ohimi Ojima before he met is untimely death had an argument with the security men in Ajaokuta Steel Company when he was ordered to make a U turn to the direction of the road where he was coming from as that is the only accessible road to Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited (ASCL).

Aya said "The victim insisted and went to an extent of attempting disarming the Sergeant and was fatally injured in the process while rushed to ASCL Hospital Ajaokuta he gave up the ghost."

"The Sergeant has been arrested, detained, tried in orderly room, dismissed from the Force and will be charged to Court for prosecution at the end of the proceedings."

The PPRO also debunked media report that the deceased was the younger brother to the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

His words "The attention of Kogi State Command has been drawn to the baseless and unfounded reports from some sections of the media on the case of alleged Culpable Homicide committed by one Sgt Akpa James.

"The Command wishes to state categorically clear that, the Sergeant is attached to Special Protection Unit (SPU), Zone 8, Lokoja and not Police Mobile Force (PMF) as reported.

"Furthermore, the report reads that the deceased one Ohimi Ojima is a younger brother to the Executive Governor of Kogi State which is also false in its entirety. The victim hailed from Ibaji Local Government of Kogi State.

"The Command urged members of the public to always confirm the true nature of incidents before sending such to social media or any other platform, so as not to mislead the good people of the State."
