Love Idoko empowers corps members
The Founder of Activate Success International Foundation, Love Idoko, recently led a team of young professionals and celebrities such as Desmond Elliot, CEO, Vodi Tailors, Seyi Adekunle, and others to empower members of the National Youths Service Corps.
The event tagged ‘Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme’ held at the Abuja and Imo camp uditoriums. According to the organisers, it was a success as youths were given not only the opportunity to learn but also got access to start-up funds.
The Activate Success Int’l Foundation Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Programme is aimed at teaching corps members practical steps on how to become successful entrepreneurs.
Apart from the N1m grant given to corps members from Activate Success International, one of the speakers also gave a N1.2m grant to 12 corps members. To crown it all, a N500,000 grant was given to 10 corps members by another speaker at the event, making the total sum 2.7million naira.
Idoko said at the event, “I have a penchant for motivating people. There are business-minded youths out there that are just looking for mentorship or business ideas as well as funds to start their businesses and that’s why we are here. The purpose is not just to give grants, it’s also to empower and motivate as many youths as possible.”
