Why women in the UK love Nigerian men –Gee4
Fast rising singer, Gee4, who currently shuttles between Nigeria and the United Kingdom told one of our correspondents that contrary to the popular belief that Nigerian men are seen in a bad light abroad, women in UK love to be in relationships with Nigerian men.
The singer who currently has a child with a Briton explained that most British women love to date Nigerian men because they consider them to be very caring. He said, “They like Nigerian men. In the United Kingdom, people don’t disrespect Nigerians or think we are all fraudsters. A lot of people I know like to hang out with me because I am a Nigerian. They believe Nigerians know how to take care of women, especially Yoruba men. They also know that we are talented, hardworking and go-getters.”
Although the reward for his music is gradually paying off, he told Saturday Beats that his childhood was not a rosy one because he lost his mother when he was six years old and his father was never there for him. “I lost my mother when I was very young, precisely six years old and I didn’t grow up knowing my father. I was raised by my grandma. My mother died after a brief illness. I am cool with my father; he loves my music and he is proud of me.
“The fact that I did not grow up with my parents has inspired me a lot because it was actually tough for me at that time but it taught me to be hardworking. I was living with my grandma until 2001 when she passed on; I was still in secondary school. I had to grow up quickly by doing menial jobs like painting, selling phones at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, among other kinds of odd jobs. It was not a smooth journey for me at all. I had to do many things to survive. At times, I would not go to school for three weeks because I was working to make a living but I am grateful to God for where I am today,” Gee4 said.

Tributes as Ras Kimono is buried today
There was an outpouring of tributes and emotions on Friday as the remains of late reggae music star, Ras Kimono, arrived Asaba, the Delta State capital, for burial on today.
The body of the late musician, who died on June 10, June, 2018, was received by a multitude of friends, colleagues, relatives and fans in the state capital, prior to its interment in his Onicha-Olona hometown in Aniocha North local government area of the state.
The Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria, Chief Tony Okoroji, in his tribute, described the late reggae artiste as a true Nigerian who used his talent to preach peace in Nigeria and the African continent.
Okoroji said Kimono was a proud member of COSON.
was one of the noticeable voices who worked for the growth of the nation’s music industry.
He said, “Ras Kimono was not just a member of COSON but an activist who joined us in the struggle. Our prayer is that the incredible spirit he left behind will continue to bind us together. There will never be another Kimono. But I know that Kimono lives. “As we drove from Lagos on Thursday, people at every stop were singing Kimono’s songs and dancing to his beats.”
He, however, called on politicians in the country to be selfless and deliver good governance to the people they campaigned to protect during their electioneering. He said this would help to avoid songs such as ‘Under Pressure’ which the deceased became famous for.
Also speaking, the national grand patron for Rastafarian Movement and Africa’s representative, Ras Edu Dickson, noted that Kimono was a gift to the world. He said the late singer should be immortalised.
Kimono’s daughter, Oge said her father was selfless, compassionate, loving and patient, while describing him as her best friend.

Halogen rewards honest guards with money, scholarship
The two security guards who found and returned a bag at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos have been rewarded by their company, Halogen Security Company Limited.
Daniel Achi, who found the bag and his supervisor, Francis Emepueaku, were on Thursday given N250, 000 each and scholarships to diploma programmes in security management and plaques.
The company had on Wednesday honoured them with an early morning ceremonial parade by their colleagues.
The Group Managing Director of the company, Mr Wale Olaoye, said the guards displayed honesty and deserved to be rewarded.
Achi and Emepueaku were said to have been on duty at the new multi-level car park at the MMIA, on Saturday, August 18, when they found a bag containing a phone, large sum of money in dollar denomination as well as expensive gift items, and returned it to the owner, a lady who had just arrived Nigeria from the United States of America.
While addressing other members of staff of the company, Olaoye said the guards’ honesty had caught global attention and urged others to emulate them.
The Deputy Managing Director, Alpha Mead Facilities, managers of the car park, Mrs Wale Odufalu, said the guards deserved commendation for choosing honour over temporary wealth.
The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Saleh Dunoma, said recent developments at airports across the country showed that Nigerians were honest people.
“Several other related cases are being reported at our airports from those who forgot money, documents and other valuables and they have been returned to the owners,” he said.
Dunoma, who was represented by the Director of Engineering Services, Mr Salisu Daura, said by the act, the guards had written their names in gold.
Lagos-based medical practitioner and family friend of the owner of the lost bag, Dr Banji Oyegbami, who posted the story on social media, stated that the country would be great again with men of integrity such as the guards in Halogen.
“I decided to give these men what is bigger than money by writing about their act, to let people know that we still have integrity in Nigeria,” he said.
According to Oyegbami, the guards’ act has gone viral and he has received several messages from within and outside the country, including a call from the Archbishop of Canterbury, United Kingdom.
Achi said he joined Halogen over a year ago and had received commendations for his honesty several times.

NFF, Rohr pressure Moses to reverse retirement
Chelsea wingback Victor Moses has reportedly come under pressure from Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr and the Nigeria Football Federation to reverse his international retirement.
Our correspondent learnt that Moses’ shock announcement from the Super Eagles last week caught Rohr, many of his teammates and fans by surprise.
The 27-year-old, who represented the country at the Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018 World Cups, said he decided to call time on his international career to enable him to focus on his club career and his family.
The South Africa 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner said in a statement on his Twitter handle he informed Rohr of his decision “by telephone”.
And the NFF General Secretary Sanusi Mohammed was quoted as saying “the football house is talking with him (Moses) to find out the reason and if possible convince him to rescind his decision for the sake of the country”.
It was learnt that Rohr and his employers had been trying to persuade the former England junior international to change his mind despite the leadership crisis in the national football house, which has seen Chris Giwa locked in a battle with Amaju Pinnick over the true leader of Nigerian football. But the Federal Government on Monday recognised Pinnick as president of the NFF. The announcement saved the country from FIFA hammer.
Sources claim Moses is not happy with the bad press for the country over the power struggle over the leadership of the NFF and decided to quit.
However, our correspondent learnt that the former Wigan player, who represented England at the South Korea 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup won by Nigeria, is digging his heels in.
Rohr said on Thursday he would continue his talks with the player.
“We spoke already and I hope that his decision is not definitive,” the veteran German manager was quoted by KweséESPN as saying.
“I think it depends on his motivation. If he really wants to commit himself again, he is welcome.
“Maybe the chance to win the Africa Cup of Nations is motivation. We will see.”
Moses scored 12 times in his 37 appearances for Nigeria, and provided a constant and potent threat for the Super Eagles whenever he played.

Detained IPOB women moved out of Owerri prison
No fewer than 25 women suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra being detained in the Owerri federal prison facility have been moved out of the town.
A source in the prison confided in our correspondent on Thursday that the women were moved out to Okigwe prison on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
He said the development became necessary following the congestion of the female cells in the Owerri federal prison.
The source said the 548-capacity prison had 2,253 inmates because of the presence of the 127 IPOB women and 74 suspected cultists.
He said, “The Owerri prison authority has transferred 25 IPOB women to Okigwe prison. Ten were taken to Okigwe prison on Wednesday.
We are having space problem. The female cells are filled to capacity. There are no places they can stay. The authority has to move them to another nearby prison.”
The Public Relations Officer of the Owerri Federal Prison, James Madugba, who confirmed the development in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, said that only 10 IPOB women were transferred to Okigwe prison as of Wednesday.
The prison spokesperson said the reason for the transfer of the women was to guarantee their safety and welfare.
He acknowledged that the prison facility was congested and that the female cells were pressured because of the number of female inmates in custody.
Meanwhile, 15 more women suspected to be members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra were on Thursday remanded in the Owerri federal prison by a magistrate’s court in Owerri presided over by S.K Kadurumba.
The development has increased the number of IPOB women remanded in custody by the court to 127 in the last four days.
Arraigning the fifteen women, the police prosecutor, Caleb Achi, told the court that the women committed the same crime the other 112 earlier remanded by the same court committed.
Achi explained that the accused were not arraigned the same day the others were arraigned because of exigencies.
He explained that while two women who slumped before their arraignment on Monday were rushed to the hospital for resuscitation and their names removed from the charge sheet, the other 13 were not brought to court earlier because the unit of the police handling their matter was not ready.
The police prosecutor gave the names of the women as Chinyere Ubani, Precious Anyanwu, Nwaka John, Nwadike Chinyere, Chika Uruagwu, Ifeanyi Florence, Chinedu Chibuzo and Cynthia Okoroagwu.
Others are Paulina Iroanya Ntizi Josephine, Blessing Nwelele, Chinyere Achonna, Nneka Okoro, Magrate Eze and Ijeoma Nwafor.
Some of the charges read, “That you conspired with others now at large to commit misdemeanor to wit; conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 517 of the Criminal Code.
“That you and others now at large did in a public place , conduct yourselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by unlawfully obstructing the flow of traffic and other business and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 249 (d) of the Criminal Code Act .
“That you did assemble yourselves together and publicly exhibited banners, emblems, flags or symbols of Indigenous people of Biafra and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 88 (b) of the Criminal Code.”

A Man Cheating On His Wife Asked Me This Question After I Challenged Him Why He Cheated On His Wife
Dike Di Ora MMA
SIR, CAN YOU EAT ONLY BEANS FOR TEN YEARS?
At first I didn't know how to answer him because it sounded as if he was making sense but God gave me an inspiration to answer him. Immediately, I replied: yes, I can. He laughed at me and looked at me with a question written on his face, how?
In reality I love beans so much and that makes me not get tired of eating it daily. But for me to continue to enjoy my beans I transform my beans into many things so I don't eat beans everyday and every time.
I can make beans cake (akara) for breakfast and momoi for lunch from the same beans. I can garnish my beans with varieties and spice it up with different spices.
I also asked him if he ever heard a scenario where a doctor advised his patient to avoid some set of food and stick to a particular or some particular ones? That is because those other food can damage his health or send him to his early grave.
Then he protested again, but sir, for a healthy living one needs to eat balanced diet. I became dumbfounded for a minute before another inspiration came. I realized that the Israelites ate only manna for forty years and no single one among them was sick for those forty years. Their sickness started when they requested for variety, "we need meat they said". God gave them enough meat, they ate and it was coming out of their noses.
When you eat what God is not happy with, it will come out of your nose. God is not happy with adultery.
He wanted to ask me further question but he paused and asked me to explain my previous answers. Then I explained thus;
Your spouse is the beans and if you truly love her you can never be tired of her. To transform my beans into akara and momoi means every man should spend on their wives to change their look as often as possible. Change her hairstyle weekly, change her wardrobe often, buy her what makes you attracted to other women outside.
Also, garnishing it with varieties and spicing it up with different spices require that you do some romantic things like using different styles at the bedroom, doing it elsewhere different from your home, making the place smell nice etc. Christian couples must be creative in their bedroom. Nudity and immodest dressing is not ideal outside but not in the the bedroom. Deliberately expose your cleavages and tigh for your husband, make your towel drop deliberately, bend down in front of him to pick it etc. Tempt him, seduce him and be his prostitute.
Your wife is a manna from heaven and she is a complete balanced diet. In her, there is protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin and minerals. That is why every woman has same contents. Though the container may differ in size and height. And like you know that the content of milk is what makes it milk and not the container, you use the milk and throw away the tin.
Don't take a bite from the forbidden fruit, it may look attractive but it is poisonous. Strange women may look attractive but they are poisonous and deadly, don't take a bite.
Thanks

DSTV subscription rate increase done in bad faith — CPC
The Consumer Protection Council on Wednesday said it opposed the increase in subscription rates for DSTV and GoTV by MultiChoice Nigeria due to its violation of the spirit of collaboration.
The Director-General, CPC, Mr Babatunde Irukera, said this in Abuja while reacting to the hike in subscription rate by Multichioce.
In July, MultiChoice Nigeria announced new monthly subscription rates for the DSTV Premium package from N14,700 to N15,800 (about 7.5 per cent); Compact Plus from N9,900 to N10,650; Compact bouquet from N6,300 to N6,800; Family from N3,800 to N4,000, and Access from N1,900 to N2,000.
The new rates took effect from August 1.
But reacting to the development, the CPC boss said Multichoice’s decision to increase the rate was done in “bad faith”, adding that this “undermined both the council and its regulatory process.”
Irukera said Multichoice’s failure to reconsider its decision, or honour its expressed and negotiated commitment made it impracticable in the absence of the judicial process to sufficiently protect consumers and accomplish the vital provisions of the Proposed Mutual Joint Consent Order.
He said, “Over a period of time, during which mutual concerns and reservations were addressed, the council and MultiChoice agreed and adopted a Proposed Mutual Joint Consent Order.
“The terms and obligations included an unopposed and undisputed requirement and understanding that Multichoice will not change, revise or modify any material term or conditions of service(s) for a period of 24 months.
“Multichoice never expressed any concerns or dissatisfaction with this clause of the Consent Order that required Multichoice to maintain status quo on its terms and conditions, which naturally include pricing for the 24-month period during which the company would have been under the council’s supervision.”
Irukera said, “Having agreed to the negotiated consent order, parties were planning on a date for the execution of same. There were repeated postponements of the execution date in part at the instance, and for the convenience of Multichoice executives.
“However, while waiting for, and when execution was imminent, Multichoice surreptitiously, without consultation, notice, courtesy information or deference to the council, and in violation of the spirit of collaboration and the finalised draft Proposed Mutual Joint Consent Order, by text messages to consumers, announced an increase in prices which materially changed a term of its service.”
He said with the interim injunction granted by Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, it was a violation of the order of a court for Multichoice to require consumers to pay, or to receive any new rate for their services.
“For clarity, the current, valid and prevailing rates for the DStv and GOtv services are the rates that were effective as of July 31, 2018,” he added.”
